Serving Families Across South Lee

The Lee County 4th District Development Group leads programs for youth, seniors, and families in South Lee County and beyond. Our efforts are grassroots, hands-on, and powered by volunteers who believe in the strength of community.

Creating Safe Spaces for Growth

  • After-School Tutoring & Mentoring

    Connecting youth with educators and mentors who help with homework, build confidence, and guide them toward success.

  • Hot Spot Summer Camp

    A 6-week academic and enrichment program for children from Lee, Pontotoc, and Chickasaw Counties. Over 50 kids participate each year, receiving academic support, meals, physical activity, and character-building workshops.

  • Youth Sports & Recreation

    Keeping kids active and engaged through organized sports and recreational opportunities at our community tracks and future centers.

Honoring the Backbone of the Community

  • Senior Citizen Queen Gala

    An annual evening of recognition, dinner, and dancing to honor local seniors.

    Two well-lit, quarter-mile tracks in Shannon and Palmetto, built through grants, donations, and volunteer support.

    Seasonal walking events that bring neighbors together for shared wellness.

  • Community Clean-Ups & Green Spaces

    Volunteer-led efforts to create safer, cleaner, and more beautiful neighborhoods.
