Neighbors Working for Lasting Change

The Lee County 4th District Development Group is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on compassion and dedication. Our volunteers donate their time, skills, and resources to improve life for people of all ages in South Lee County and surrounding areas.

Creating Pathways for Local Youth

  • After-School Tutoring & Mentoring

Connecting youth with educators and mentors for homework help, guidance, and personal growth.

  • Hot Spot Summer Camp

A 6-week academic and enrichment camp for kids from Lee, Pontotoc, and Chickasaw Counties. Over 50 students attend annually, gaining academic support, meals, and character-building experiences.

  • Youth Sports & Recreation

Organized sports and recreational opportunities to keep kids active and engaged in safe, supportive environments.

A Vision Sparked by Concern

A small group of concerned citizens came together with one goal—to make a positive impact in their community. After several informal meetings, they formally organized as the Lee County 4th District Development Group.

A Commitment That Continues Today

From the beginning, our vision has been clear: to help people of all ages reach their full potential. We continue this mission through education, mentorship, wellness, and community-building programs.

Empowering Families Through Opportunities

We empower individuals and families by creating meaningful opportunities for:

  • Youth Development

After-school programs, tutoring, mentoring, and sports activities

  • Senior Engagement

Weekly activities, social events, and support services

  • Community Enrichment

Cultural events, workshops, and wellness projects

Guided by a Simple Motto

Our motto guides us every day: “People Helping People.”

Building Stronger Neighborhoods Together

We aim to build thriving, connected neighborhoods where everyone has the resources and encouragement they need to succeed. To achieve this, we are working toward constructing two community centers in Shannon and Palmetto that will provide safe, welcoming spaces for youth programs, senior activities, and cultural events.
